Barcelona vs Bayer and Messi is a Legend

My older brother brought me to Barcelona when I was 10 years old to watch my very first match at the Nou Camp and 12 years later I still can’t believe how this team gets better and better. Last nights match never made me more proud to support this team. There is no other football team in the world like them. They will go down in the History books as the greatest without a doubt. They scored 7 goals and it finished 10-2 on aggregate. It was the most goals Barcelona have ever scored against a German Team

 Pique and Sergio were so not ready for that photo to be taken. Last night was a great team performance but Lionel Messi showed why he is the best player in the world He broke football history last night scoring 5 goals in the Champions league not one player has done this in the history of football and Messi deserves to be the player with this honour and I don’t think anyone can argue with that. The Goals just kept coming one after an other. And Pep and his hands.

Xavi  was one of the First to praise Messi. He said the team are putting in a great season and after last nights game they feel strong and dominant.

Xavi speaking about Messi he believes the little goal machine is the best player in the world and maybe the best of all time. He said that football is moving but he stays the same. He deserves the admiration of any sportsman. He is incomparable, a one of. There is no other player who can make such a difference, He’ll break records.

Tello added the next one. He was having the best debut possible. After the match he thanked Pep for the confidence the manager has placed in him and for giving him his champions league debut.

 Then Messi did the unthinkable and scored his fifth.

Bayer managed to pull one back and scored in the 90 minute. The funny thing about this was when Karim Bellarabi hit an amazing strike to score. Guardiola Turned to the Bayer coach Robin Dutt and said what a goal and the two gave each other a warm greeting. Guardiola face is priceless.

I just think what a gentleman Pep Guardiolaus. In the world today there is a lot of cheating and diving in football and I just think it’s a great thing that Barca don’t do these things they get on with their football. They are a role model for other clubs.

In his press conference he said that Barca should feel fortunate to have a player like Messi. He believes Messi is the best bar none he said he is thankful to coach Messi and manage him.

The circumstances don’t matter he competes against himself. We only try to provide the conditions so that he can receive the ball as many times as possible where he feels comfortable on the pitch.

He added it’s not easy to score five goals . We are fortunate to have a player like him this we can only enjoy him and this team. He said just before he compared Messi to other greats such as Cruyff, Di Stefano, Maradona,Pele but the throne is his only he will decide when to leave it. In the press conference he was talking with so much happiness and pride. These players have done it again they have given us a prize they’ve taken us to the quarter finals.

Also there was David Villa, Carles Puyol and ibrahim afellay.

Barcelona Vs Sporting Gijon

A very interesting match if I do say so. First half was pretty crap on Barcelona’s part we had plenty of chances but no one could find the back of the net we were really missing Messi and Sporting gave them a good go for the first 45 and then finally Barca kicked some ass.

It was a nervous one at times and pep looked like he was about to kill someone at one stage.If you looked down on the touch-line Pep was doing his hand gestures and going crazy he had me in stitches of laughter .They should make a special show of just Pep on the side-lines.

We Finally got a goal in the forty-second minute  after Iniesta scored a brilliant goal but it could have come sooner but Barca were finding it hard to break down sporting and it was showing on the players faces they were clearly frustrated. Also It’s hard to believe that it was Iniesta’s first la liga goal this season.

After that the pressure had come off a bit. And then it all goes wrong it wouldn’t be Barcelona if that didn’t happen. The right in the first minte of the second half Pique goes and gets himself sent off after making a stupid foul on De las Cuevas.( If Pep wasn’t pissed at him before this he is now. You should have seen Pep’s face he was not impressed). Pique had to be pushed off the pitch by Xavi before he got himself a long-term ban for back chatting the Ref. I love Xavi being all bossy.

And then it got bloody worse for us  David Barrel scores and its 1-1. (David Barrel came through the Real Madrid Cantera so I’m sure he is enjoying this). A draw is not good for Barca we can kiss the league goodbye if we don’t win every game.

Second half Pep brings on Tello and Alexis and things start to look up. One thing to add Cristian Tello is hot like really hot like on fire kinda hot.

78 minute Keita scores and amazing goal he must be taking tips from Messi.

And Pep was comical he hands were going mental and Xavi face was a picture haha but being serious I love Pep for his passion for the club no cares for Barca more than him. He lives and breathes Barca.

Messi looked like he wanted to be down there playing It’s so weird seeing him in the stands instead of the pitch we really did miss him today on the field.

In the 85 minute Dani Alves is the latest player to pick up a yellow card like really I don’t know what was up with this ref but he nearly gave every player a card he was giving them out like no tomorrow. I love this Picture of Alves he looks like he is doing a magazine pose saying take my picture I’m ready.

Finally when you thought the game was coming to an end my favorite little magician xavi scores in the 88 minute in amazing style. But a bit of bad news to end on, Poor Alexis it had been reported when he got back from International duty he had upset a muscle in his leg so when it was in the 91 minute he looked like he injured himself and left the field looking rather upset.Update on Alexis – The club has said he has a small tear in his right leg and will be out for 10 to 15 days so he will miss the game with Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday in the Champions league . And Barca had to finish the game off with 9 men.

Also the injured boys were in attendance. What is up with them all holding their hands to their mouths. David Villa is looking good lately and formula one driver Fernando Alonso was there also.

After the Match Pep held a press conference and said that he is happy with how the players reacted. Guardiola said that the match is a morale boost for the team.

He also praised Seydou Keita’s performance saying he has never let him down and he makes his job easier. Also he praised Sporting. He added that they won against a very defensive side in a match that turned against us. I’m happy with how the players reacted when they went down to 10 men and were on level terms. When asked about Pique he just brushed the subject off.
